ProLogis has leased 215,000 square feet of recently completed distribution space near Chicago to Sanyo Logistics Corp., a logistics services provider and business unit of Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd. This is the seventh lease agreement ProLogis has negotiated between the two companies; Sanyo now leases approximately two million square feet in ProLogis distribution facilities in Southern California, Chicago and various locations throughout Japan. Sanyo will now occupy 215,000 square feet at ProLogis Park 55 located in Romeoville, Ill. The master-planned industrial park is located along Interstate 55 between Weber Road and Route 53. ProLogis owns and operates six buildings in the industrial park, comprising more than 3.1 million square feet of class A distribution space. Additional ProLogis customers within the park include Kimberly-Clark, APL Logistics and Procter & Gamble.
