Geoffrey Wharton has been named president of the John McCourt Co. The real estate and construction arm of the McCourt Group recently moved its headquarters from Boston to Los Angeles. In his new role, Wharton will be responsible for concluding the entitlement process and overseeing construction of the Next 50 plan that preserves and enhances Dodger Stadium. Wharton comes to John McCourt from Apollo Real Estate Group, now known as AREA Property Partners, where he oversaw the master planning and entitlements for Sunset La Cienega in West Hollywood and the Columbia Square project in Hollywood.
