Blink 102.7 | "Rapper"

In this funny commercial, a rapper quizzes a car salesman on certain "amenities" -- such as "a dokey, dokey" sound system with fur trim -- for a Hummer-like truck. Impressed with the sound quality of the music coming from the vehicle's radio, the singer buys "one for me and four for my daaaaawgs." Unfortunately, the radio station -- Blink 102.7 -- airs breaking news: The rapper is bankrupt, dumped by his record label. With a new program lineup, New York's Blink 102.7 provides "music, gossip and entertainment." The format change is an upgrade over the previous all-talk-no-walk lineup of Opie and Anthony, Ron and Fez, and Scott Ferrell. But once upon a time, WNEW was a radio pioneer, the first FM station to put rock and roll on the airwaves, a beacon to generations of music fans. What the hell happened to this radio station?
