Zippo Multi-Purpose Lighter | "Grill"
May 12, 2003
Blattner Brunner/Pittsburgh
What makes a man burn burgers, steaks and chicken to a crisp? "The Zippo multipurpose lighter with rugged construction, adjustable flame and lifetime guarantee," according to the VO. "You'll have trouble taking your eyes off it." The grill analogy may be a little disingenuous -- people buy Zippos mostly to light cigarettes and cigars, not exactly a PC thing to show in a commercial these days. Best Spots, though, has no problem with the side step. It's a cool-looking product, which definitely appeals to the primordial Prometheus in all of us.
