Toyota Sienna | "Crash Test Teddy"
May 12, 2003
Saatchi & Saatchi/Los Angeles
In this amusing commercial, a girl's teddy bear and blonde doll are strapped into the back seat of a Sienna, which careens toward its destiny: a looming crash-test wall. The ending is a happy one, of course, and it's a clever way to promote the van's safety features: anti-lock brakes, all-wheel drive and airbags. (Think Volvo, with a sense of humor.) Indeed, the new Sienna campaign hilariously promotes "everything kids want and everything you need," a smart message to send to consumers/parents.
